The list of Sony Playstation 4 games – so far
Author: Unknown // Category:PRNewsFoto/Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.The industry’s best development teams are igniting their creativity to bring the best gaming experiences to PlayStation 4.
Without showing the actual console or giving us a price for thePlayStation 4, Sony did give us 10 games that will be on the new console.
Will all of them be available on the day of launch? Not all, but some will. Plus Sony also showed a large screen of dozens of publishers like Activision, EA, Rockstar, Sega, LucasArts, Bethesda and a host of others who will be dropping games for the PS4 in the future. But in the meantime, this is what we have so far:
Knack
This was the first game announced for the PS4. It looks like a Pixar film — from the storyline to the animation. This could be a hit.
Killzone: Shadowfall
You can’t have a new PlayStation console without a Killzone game. The demo played during the press conference for Killzone: Shadowfall looked gorgeous. Although I’m more of a Resistance fan (Killzone’s story kinda bores me), it definitely piqued my interest.
InFAMOUS: Second Son
I liked the inFAMOUS games so I’m definitely interested in inFAMOUS: Second Son. It looks like it’s a new character and instead of the power of electricity, he has the power of fire.
Watch Dogs
Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs was a big hit at E3 2012 last summer and last night’s demo of the game continued to solidify the hype surrounding it. It’s been confirmed that this will be one of the PS4’s launch titles. Just take a look.
Drive Club
Team-based racing is finally here. Drive Club allows you to form and join racing clubs and challenge other clubs for online glory. The game seems to be a first-person sim racer that pays focused detail to the design of the cars in the game. I’m more of an arcade racer myself, but the multiplayer aspect of club vs. club races sounds like fun.
Diablo III
Finally, console gamers get to experience what PC gamers have been raving about the past year. Diablo III will be coming to PS4 and PS3. Should we be excited? Watch the trailer below and decide for yourself.
Deep Down
We’re not sure what to make of this one but we can say that the trailer looked great. And we’re also down with knights and dragons and caves and the Middle Ages and that sort of thing. But what’s with Blanka at the end of the trailer?
The Witness
Jonathan Blow, the man behind the indie game Braid and a subject in the film Indie Game: The Movie, announced his new game for the PlayStation 4. It’s being billed as a puzzle game but from the looks of the trailer, it seems a bit more complicated than that.
Destiny
For the past month, the folks at Bungie and Activision have been trying to build some hype around their new game Destiny, but you know what? I’m not excited yet. I’m definitely interested and last night’s “trailer” kept me interested, but we’re still not sure what will be so groundbreaking with Destiny.
Final Fantasy
Although Square Enix didn’t show a specific game for the Playstation 4, they did announce that they will announce a Final Fantasy game for the PS4 in June. In the meantime, they showed a trailer last night apparently showing off the PS4’s capabilities. But in truth, it’s the same tech demo they showed at E3 2012. Here it is anyway...
